Progress on Developing a Program in Network Dynamics and Simulation Science at VT: A personal perspective

Abstract:
NDSSL was established in Sept 2004 and became operational starting January 2005. The group has made tremendous progress since its modest beginnings four and a half years ago and I would like to share my personal perspectives on this. I will primarily concentrate on what we have done as regards to an integrated program in Network and Simulation Science as it pertains to complex biological infrastructure social, technical and Information networks. In doing this I will frequently compare our work with the state of the art and our own work while at Los Alamos. I might also request some NDSSL members to speak for a few minutes as I weave this story on the work we have done.
